About the role
Provide a high degree of project guidance and expertise for effective planning and delivery of Hydro Tasmania’s generation infrastructure up-grade program.
Drive execution of programs and projects through effective problem-solving leadership, collaboration and expert utilisation of processes, systems and technologies deployed by the business.
Oversee scoping, design, contracts and procurement while managing budgets, risks and key stakeholders.
Develop compelling business cases and ensure delivery against asset, cost, schedule and objectives.
Salary range $140,887– $163,308 plus super

Key responsibilities
• Drive program delivery to meet scope, cost, schedule and technical targets
• Prepare and present high‑quality business cases and commercial analysis
• Lead contract development, negotiate terms, and manage execution and administration
• Apply best‑practice risk, asset and quality processes across every project stage
• Build strong relationships with councils, regulators and community stakeholders

Skills & experience
• Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering (Ideally Electrical) as well as Project Management.
• Lead full project lifecycle in complex environments.
• Managed contracts, budgets and commercial decisions.
• Experience with MS Project and core project management tools.
• Apply strong business acumen to technical projects.
• Can communicate clearly with a range of stakeholders and write concise reports.

- Rotating machinery
- Hydro power machine rebuilds
- Gas turbine refurbishments
- Electrical projects such as transformers, alternators/generators, or high voltage equipment.
