Who we’re looking for:

Delivering strong commercial outcomes on our projects is paramount to BMD’s sustainability. In this role, you will review and monitor contractual and financial matters, understanding all requirements of the head contract and other subcontractor and supplier agreements.

  • You will be a natural relationship builder with excellent communication skills and strong technical expertise to:
    ensure the supply chain is aligned with the rights and obligations of the head contract
  • Lead contract negotiation and review the scope of work for total cost and requirements including key dates for project delivery
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to deliver sound commercial outcomes
  • Coordinate claims and disputes.

This role will be a site based commercial support role for an exciting infrastructure project in the Hunter Valley!

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with:

  • Tertiary qualification in an appropriate engineering, quantity surveying, finance, accounting, legal or business discipline is preferable.
  • Two to six years’ experience in a similar role in the civil/construction industry.
  • Experience leading commercial negotiations with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
