Local Area Coordinator - Niddrie
We're seeking an enthusiastic Local Area Coordinator to join our dedicated NDIS Services Team. This role involves managing and delivering Partner in the Community Local Area Coordination services within the Brotherhood of St Laurence (BSL) Disability Services Division.
- Location: Based at the BSL NDIS Mooney Valley & Melbourne Office (Niddrie, VIC 3047).
- Salary: A competitive remuneration package ranging from $87,886.87 - $94,565.36 per annum + 11.5% superannuation.
- Type of Employment: Permanent, full-time (38-40 hours per week).

ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE
As a Local Area Coordinator, your role is a pivotal function in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). You are responsible for the delivery and implementation of Partner in the Community Local Area Coordination Services in a defined geographical area.
As a Local Area Coordinator, you will assist people with disability to advocate, plan, organise and access the support and services needed to live an ordinary life. This includes assessing each person’s eligibility for the NDIS and (where eligible) helping to establish a NDIS plan with reasonable and necessary supports. Your role will engage with the local community to assist people with disability to access mainstream services regardless of NDIS eligibility.
ABOUT YOU
We are seeking applicants who have:
- Relevant qualifications in fields such as Disability, Allied Health, Human Services, Social Sciences, Education, Community Services and/or
- Lived experience with disability or awareness of the impact of existing or acquired disability upon individuals, families, carers and the community
- Highly developed communication, listening and relationship building skills
- Experience in working alongside community towards common goals
- Confidence using a variety of computer programs and equipment and ability to enter information accurately
