Salary: $67,159.04 annum, based on skills and experience plus 12% superannuation. (pro-rata for part-time employment)

About the role
The Personal Care Worker provides professional, person-centered care and support to the Residential Care residents, in accordance with their individual care plans, policies and Page 2 of 4 procedures. Additionally, this position works with the clinical care team to foster maximum resident independence and autonomy.
Key duties
- In consultation with the clinical team, provide care and daily living services to residents that helps them achieve maximum independence and meets the residents personal, emotional, psychological, cultural and spiritual needs
- Support residents in their daily living requirements, including nutrition, mobility, personal hygiene, social interaction, lifestyle activities and other support as documented within their care plan
- Dispense medication as directed by the Clinical Care team, as appropriately credentialed and assessed
- Undertake timely and accurate charting, exception reporting and other documentation as required
- Establish and maintain trusting and professional relationships with residents, ensuring all interactions with residents are respectful, and supportive of their privacy, dignity, individual choice and decision making
- Support and participate as required in a range of group services and activities, including assisting with meal service and encouraging residents’ participation in activities and with feedback mechanisms

What we are looking for

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:
- Minimum qualification of Certificate Level III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent
- Specific work requirements include weekend work, evening shifts and public holidays
- Proof of eligibility to work in Australia is required
- A satisfactory Police Check is required - BSL will support successful candidates in this process.
- A Working with Children Check is required - BSL will support successful candidates in this process.
- An NDIS Worker Screening check is required – BSL will support successful candidates in this process.
- A Statutory Declaration to confirm past criminal history is required as per the Aged Care Act - BSL will support successful candidates in this process
- Aged Care Banning Orders Register checks shall be undertaken
