About the role

Deakin's Transformation Office focuses on innovation aligned with the university's strategic priorities. Collaborating with executive leadership and stakeholders, the Transformation Office drives efficiency, sustainability and vibrancy across the university.

The Coordinator, Deakin Transformation works closely with teams across the university to coordinate multiple organisational change and optimisation projects across Deakin Transformation and People & Culture to support Deakin in meeting its strategic objectives. The coordinator provides hands-on support to enable effective delivery of workshops, including logistical assistance, drafting materials, communications and intranet sites.

As a Coordinator, you will:

  • Assist with coordinating & implementing change projects led by both the Transformation Office and Change & Future Workforce teams. Develop and prepare supporting materials to achieve project objectives effectively.
  • Provide dedicated coordination support for the Change & Future Workforce team, including MY Workforce, organisational change, or process improvement initiatives. Handle scheduling, workshop preparation, and communication tasks to ensure smooth operation and integration of these initiatives with the university's strategic objectives.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and program participants in a timely and effective way.
  • Identify and collaborate on system and process improvement opportunities
  • Provide dedicated coordination of projects across the transformation office. Collaborate with University teams to define the processes, tasks and resources required to achieve team goals.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with substantial subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience working collaboratively and effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience working within an organisation with complex administrative structures, policies and procedures, preferably within the higher education sector
