This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead strategic, student-focused initiatives and work in close partnership with academic and professional staff to support student learning, progress and success

As a Specialist, Academic Engagement you will:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with academic staff to enhance student learning, progress, and success.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and teaching excellence through collaboration and coaching.
• Provide expert advice, resources, and support to academic staff on effective learning and teaching strategies.
• Lead the design and implementation of data-informed initiatives that improve student outcomes across the University.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and embed best-practice pedagogical approaches and support mechanisms.                                                                                                                                                                                      

To be successful, you’ll have:

• Postgraduate qualifications (or progress toward) in Education, TESOL, or Applied Linguistics, combined with extensive relevant experience.
• Proven experience in leading initiatives that enhance student progress and academic success in diverse university settings.
• Demonstrated expertise in academic language and learning support within a higher education environment.
• Strong track record in the design, delivery, and evaluation of academic skills programs tailored to student needs.
• Extensive experience and management capability, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional training.
