As Australia’s most progressive university, we’re launching 20 Deakin University Postdoctoral Research Fellowships (DUPRF) and a number of Executive Dean Health Research Fellowships.

DUPRFs focus on any area of Deakin’s research strengths, while Executive Dean of Health Research Fellows focus on health and medical areas related to Deakin’s research strengths.

What funding Deakin offers

  • The Deakin Fellowship provides up to three years of salary support from a Level A, Step 6 up to the top of Level B classification, commensurate with experience. Note: For international DUPRF’s the third year is subject to meeting visa requirements) Refer to Guidelines for further information.
  • Successful Deakin Fellows also receive a one-off research support grant of $15,000, which must be used for direct research costs that relate specifically to the research project.

Are you a PhD graduate? You're eligible if you received your PhD on or after January 1, 2021, or if your PhD award date, accounting for career interruptions, aligns with that date.
