About the role:

The Senior Product Manager is part of the Infrastructure & Digital Engagement team and plays a role in guiding the development and enhancement of digital products or platforms. The role will oversee the entire product lifecycle, from conception through delivery, with a focus on creating high quality user-centric solutions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Develop long-term product strategies, aligning goals with business objectives and identifying opportunities through market trends and competitive analysis.
• Own the full product lifecycle, prioritising features based on stakeholder needs, technical feasibility, and business value.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on product goals and timelines between technical teams and stakeholders.
• Advocate for a customer-first approach, using product performance data to guide ongoing improvements and meet user needs.
• Facilitate team growth, providing feedback and promoting a safe, productive environment in line with university policies and strategies.

To be successful, you’ll have:

• Experience in product management, or working in a complex IT development environment, with a focus on digital products or platforms
• Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or
• Extensive experience and management expertise; or
• An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
• Demonstrated strong understanding of contemporary discipline concepts and strategies and the capacity to adapt and implement these for the benefit of an organisation
