About the role
The Solutions Architect is responsible for leading, developing and managing a portfolio of digital solutions including projects, products, systems, shared infrastructure services and application services to deliver targeted business outcomes. The position ensures solutions align to strategic priorities, meet the needs of the University and adhere to architectural governance and standards.
This role is focused on enhancing the customer experience through a customer-centric approach by integrating physical and digital infrastructure, projects, and services to deliver seamless, impactful solutions tailored to customer needs. The role ensures that improvements align with the division's and university's strategic goals, balancing innovation with long-term objectives.
As the Solutions Architect, you will:
- Provide enterprise architectural and design leadership for assigned portfolio of solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture roadmaps, established architectural principles.
- Leads analysis of the business’ future-state capabilities and future (and current) IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement to drive the business forward.
- Lead the definition of the principles, guidelines, standards and solution patterns to ensure all solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision.
- Align enterprise architectural activities with strategic priorities. Develop plans and system designs that address both current and likely future requirements for the university.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of skilled professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
To be successful, you’ll have
- Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or
- Extensive experience and management expertise; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- Extensive experience conceptualising, developing and implementing contemporary solutions, strategies and services to achieve a large organization’s objectives
- A sound knowledge and understanding of contemporary relevant discipline practices
- Demonstrated capacity to build and maintain strong and productive relationships with internal and external partners and customers.
- Proven ability to exercise judgement, influence others, be flexible and adaptive to environmental changes and priorities, and gain support for new plans, programs or initiatives.
