  • HEW 5 $80,199 - $89,950 + 17% Superannuation (pro rata, part time)

 

As an Administrative Officer in Faculty Services - Medicine, you’ll be responsible for providing operational support to the academic teaching programs within the School of Medicine, with a focus on the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program in our regional locations. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure successful delivery of teaching, assessment and other simulated activities.

As an Administrative Officer, you will:

  • Contribute to effective site operations for MD program delivery in regional locations (e.g., Warrnambool/Ararat), supporting local staff and students during both routine teaching periods and high-stakes activities such as assessments or specialist teaching days (e.g., Super Skills, Ward Rounds).
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating strong communication skills, initiative, and professionalism in all interactions with colleagues, students, academic staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Undertake a range of administrative and operational tasks including formatting and printing documentation, assisting with room bookings, maintaining accurate records, and supporting site-specific administrative needs for students and staff.
  • Support the planning and supervision of assessments, including clinical and written exams. This involves coordinating logistics, assisting with the recruitment of simulated and volunteer patients, setting up venues, and ensuring the smooth running of assessments on the day.
  • Provide logistical and operational support for School of Medicine governance activities, including preparation for meeting agendas, and secretarial support for site-based or program-level committees where required.

                                                                                                                                       

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Completion of a Degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or
  • Completion of an Associate Diploma and at least two years subsequent relevant work experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
