The Faculty of Health drives innovation in teaching, learning, research, and social impact. We’re seeking a Senior Lecturer to lead as Course Director for the Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education, leading the unit and course teaching teams in our undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
As a Lecturer, Nursing you will:
- Lead unit teaching teams in UG and/or PG programs to deliver unit learning outcomes and continuously improve the student learning experience and outcomes
- Initiate, design and conduct productive, high-quality research, scholarship and creative activities generating high impact outputs in their discipline area
- Engage collaboratively to develop novel research outcomes.
- Maintain deep discipline knowledge which is applied to inform course and unit design.
- Build a national reputation, based on a growing, focused body of work recognised for quality, excellence and impact and a growing track record of timely delivery of outcomes for industry partners
To be successful you’ll have:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a registered nurse.
- PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience in Diabetes education.
- Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design
- Emerging reputation in research and scholarship through publications and/or exhibitions and/or success in obtaining external research funding.
- Ability to contribute to communities through research.
As a Senior Lecturer, Nursing you will:
- Lead unit and course teaching teams in UG and/or PG programs to improve the student learning experience and outcomes.
- Lead growing, increasingly productive, high-quality research, scholarship and creative activities generating high impact outputs
- Integrate industry, clinical and/or research practice into unit/course design and lead development and/or adoption of new innovation in curriculum design
- Make significant contribution to seeking funding for research and creative activities, including applications for external competitive funding, external funding for commercialization and other activities
To be successful you’ll have:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a registered nurse.
- PhD in a relevant discipline and/or advanced qualifications and experience in Diabetes education.
- Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design and research supervision.
- Nationally recognised research reputation underpinned by publications in quality journals, and exhibitions where relevant to the discipline.
- Positive engagement with research, community, industry and government to enhance the national standing of the discipline.
