As a Senior Manager, Cyber Security Operations you will:
- Lead and develop a high-performing cybersecurity team, fostering collaboration, guiding staff growth, and ensuring effective delivery of initiatives.
- Design and implement cybersecurity strategies, policies, and standards aligned with university goals, working closely with cross-functional teams to protect systems, networks, and data.
- Promote a strong security culture by developing awareness programs and engaging stakeholders to reinforce best practices across staff and students.
- Ensure compliance and manage risk through regulatory alignment, risk assessments, audits, continuous improvement, and adoption of new technologies and industry best practices.
- Oversee security operations and incident response, monitoring threats, leading containment and recovery efforts, conducting post-incident analysis, and reporting performance and risks to senior leadership.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Extensive experience and qualifications in managing cybersecurity operations within large, complex organisations, with strong analytical, conceptual, and project management capabilities.
- Proven leadership in managing significant resources, exercising sound judgement, adapting to change, and influencing stakeholders to support new initiatives.
- Deep knowledge of contemporary cybersecurity operations practices, supported by strong research, problem-solving, and solution-design skills.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to consult, collaborate, and maintain productive partnerships internally and externally.
