As a Associate Research Fellow, you will:

  • The Research Fellow in Psychosis and Minority Groups will engage collaboratively to conduct high-quality research, scholarship and creative activities generating high impact outputs in the field of psychosis within minority groups,
  • Create and disseminate knowledge to influence practice and/or policy changes to improve the health and well-being of people who experience stigma from psychosis and membership of minority groups,
  • Conduct high-quality research, scholarship and creative activities generating high impact outputs, with mentorship,
  • Engage collaboratively to participate in novel and high-quality research or creative activities.

In a typical day/week, you will:

  • Build awareness of industry partners and participates in opportunities for research partnerships,
  • Support and may lead in applications for external competitive and other funding,
  • Develop early career research plan with guidance from mentors and supervisors,
  • Participate in intra- and inter-disciplinary research collaborations.
                                                                                                                                           

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • PhD (or working toward a PhD) in mental health or related discipline,
  • Must have research experience in the field of psychosis within minority groups, such as people who identify as LGBTQIA+,
  • Ability to contribute to and engage with communities through research and dissemination of findings,
  • Track record of working with people with lived experience of psychosis and/or minority status.
