Part-Time - 12 Month Program

Warringal Private Hospital and our Critical Care Management team are eager to offer Division 1 Registered Nurses the opportunity to enter the above post graduate program.  All subjects completed within this qualification will amount to 4 credit points toward the Master of Nursing Practice at Deakin University-Burwood.

 ICU: 10 bed level 2 ICU with a case mix that includes cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery and high acuity general and orthopaedic surgery. Support to the hospital with code blue and MET Call responsiveness.

Cardiac: 26 bed cardiothoracic unit with case mix including post cardiac surgery, interventional cardiology and a mix of acute and chronic cardiology patients.


Course Details

Commencement date: Feb, 2021

Completion date:  Feb, 2022

Course structure: 4 paid Clinical Shifts per week and 1 unpaid university day per week (26 weeks)

Pre-requisite: Div 1 Registered Nurse, 2 years post Graduate (minimum)


Enrolment and Application Process requires you to:

  1. Provide a written application for clinical placement at WPH.

    • The strengths you will bring to the relevant unit and nursing team



On offer is a PRO RATA annual salary of $61,290 - $83,751 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
