A wonderful opportunity exists for an After Hours Co-ordinator to join our Nursing team at Nambour Selangor Private Hospital on a casual basis.


About the Role


Holding a key leadership and management role within Nambour Selangor Private Hospital as an 
After Hours Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of all human and material resources outside of business hours. This role requires you to work with our professional team, while supporting other managers in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements.

This will involve, but is not limited to;

  • Coordinating the staffing needs of the Hospital in consultation with each department;
  • Coordinating patient care services to ensure the provision of a high standard of quality cost effective nursing;
  • Initiating interventions to prevent or solve clinical problems, demonstrating sound knowledge and skills in relation to clinical practice; and
  • Promoting effective team building strategies to ensure a cohesive and supportive structure exists within the department/Hospital.

Flexibility to work across a seven-day rotating roster, including night shifts, weekends and public holidays is essential to this role.


About You


To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset in an acute hospital setting. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to inspire, motivate and mentor your team. You will be a leader with a passion for seeing your team members succeed and grow while bringing a passion for a high level of client care and service.


This is an ideal opportunity for Senior Registered Nurses who are ready and looking to take the next step in progressing their career. 


The successful candidate will also meet the following criteria:


  • Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing and extensive clinical skills and experience
  • Sound understanding of contemporary Human Resources Management practices
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human and material resources
  • Ability to plan, develop, implement and evaluate a continuous improvement program

Candidates with post graduate qualifications in the clinical area of speciality, Health Administration and / or Management, or previous experience in a management position will be highly regarded.
