About the Role
The Keith Payne Unit (KPU) is focused on mental health and specialises in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), drug and alcohol, depression and anxiety, and older veterans’ mental health. We are currently seeking an experienced and professional Registered Nurse to join our team to help continue the specialised mental health services our unit provides. This role requires you to provide high quality support to patients with mental health and physical health concerns, including the administration of medicines.
This role will see you reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager and you will be joining a team of passionate professionals driven to provide safe, holistic nursing care to each individual patient to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
This is a permanent part-time role (minimum 64 hours per fortnight).
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset with experience in mental health nursing. Possessing excellent time management and well-developed clinical problem-solving skills will be key to your success in this role.
You will also bring;
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Minimum of two (2) years’ post graduate experience in Mental Health Nursing
- Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patients
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment and autonomously as required
- Advanced communication and customer service skills
This role requires a caring and compassionate nature that enables you to provide supportive care to patients and their families
On offer is PRO RATA Full-Time Equivalent, base annual salary ranging from;
$70,697 - $90,715 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
