About the Role
Hillcrest Rockhampton Private Hospital offers four operating theatres and a full range of medical, surgical and mental health services.
At Hillcrest, we pride ourselves in providing exceptional quality meal services & catering for our patients, doctors and staff. Food safety is critical in a hospital environment, along with the learning, understanding and management of therapeutic dietary requirements.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Chef to secure, long-term employment and the opportunity to learn & grow with the support of an amazing team. In addition to the ‘on the job’ support, you will be assigned a field officer who will manage your learning outcomes and you will be provided specific training facilitated by CQ University, Rockhampton.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent communication skills and be prepared to complete all the required apprenticeship training and development activities. You will also have a proven track record of being reliable and dedicated with the ability to multitask.
You will need to be flexible to work across days, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
