We are looking for a motivated Registered recovery Nurse to join our PACU team at Cairns Private Hospital on a permanent part time basis (16 hours per fortnight)
Ideally the hours to be covered are between 3:00pm – 9:30pm varying shift lengths of 4-6 hours. Flexibility required across a rotating roster of 7 days per week. Although the above hours are ideal but not limited to these hours only.
About the Role
The Post Anaesthetic Care Unit at Cairns Private Hospital forms part of Perioperative Services. The hospital is constantly seeking for opportunities to grow innovatively and therefore, need clinical staff to join our PACU. The ward provides a space for patients exiting surgery to rest and recover from their procedures.
As a member of our clinical team you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Operating Theatre Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality service is provided to our patients across the ward. You will be joining a team of passionate professionals driven to exceed Ramsay’s high standard of client care.
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset in a hospital setting as a PACU or Recovery trained Nurse with a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The flexibility to handle a rotating roster with on call components along with weekend and evening shifts will be key for this role.
You will also bring;
- Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in recovery/ICU/HDU OR PACU essential
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a high-performing team
- Flexibility with hours – varying shift lengths 4-6 hours

On offer is a Full-Time Equivalent salary ranging from;
- $72,111 - $92,529 + Superannuation per annum based on experience level (PRO RATA)
