An opportunity currently exists for a Business Support Officer with a finance background, to join the team at Cairns Private Hospital. This position is a Permanent Full-Time role (76 hours per fortnight). The successful applicant may work across a 7 day rotating roster. On weekdays Monday - Friday from 7.30 am until 6.00 pm – Please note hours may vary according to the needs of the business so flexibility with hours is a requirement of this role.
About the Role
Reporting to the Patient Administration Manager, this role will have you working across two separate departments Patient Admin (billing) and Specialist Suites. You will provide a comprehensive administration service to all aspects of front office. The position requires a strong finance background and the ability to provide assistance with overseeing HMO Billing, SAP, accounts payable, banking and other reconciliation tasks.
We are seeking highly organised, enthusiastic professionals with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service to join our respected Administration team. The role will see you providing support and assistance to the administrative and clinical teams, patients and relatives, by coordinating the clerical requirements for patients from admission to discharge.
To be successful you will be a well presented individual with highly developed communication and organisational skills. Your strong administration skillset, attention to detail and accuracy, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to handle multiple tasks and experience working within a hospital setting will be critical for this role.
You will also bring:
- High level of competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience in a finance administration background
- Meditech Patient Management System experience (desirable)
- Experienced with Blue Chip and Clinic to Cloud Accounting package (desirable)
- Understanding of Health Funds, Contracts and their application (desirable)
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work with limited supervision
