Frances Perry House is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife to join our team as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager on our combined Maternity/Surgical Ward.
About the Role
The Maternity/Surgical Ward is a 25-bed unit that specialises in women's health with 16 dedicated surgical beds and 9 dedicated maternity beds. We care for patients undergoing gynaecology, urogynaecology, plastic and reconstructive surgery as well as antenatal and postnatal patients who require hospital admission.
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager will support the Nurse Unit Manager in the efficient management of staff and resources within the ward ensuring achievement of excellence in care delivery in line with policies and procedures, best practice and legislative requirements. The Associate Nurse Unit Manager will provide leadership and support to all staff to ensure positive patient outcomes are achieved in line with departmental and hospital strategic objectives.
Your role will be working alongside nurses and midwives committed to providing high quality patient-centered care. You will receive extensive orientation and support from the Nurse Unit Manager, Department Leadership team and Clinical Development Unit. You will also be given the opportunity to undertake professional development to support you as you transition into your new role.
You will require:
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Advanced Clinical Practice in a high acuity setting with at least five years’ experience post registration
- Demonstrated clinical leadership and change management skills
- Demonstrated ability to motivate a team and grow a positive culture
- Ability to plan and achieve clinical learning outcomes for individual and in a team environment
- Knowledge and involvement in the Continuous Improvement Process
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
$ 49.42 - $ 51.05 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (VIC Associate Nurse Unit Manager gr1-gr3) [FTE $97 656.09 - $ 100 879.93]
