About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for Grade 1 Physiotherapists to join our team at Donvale Rehabilitation Hospital. The Physiotherapy department includes a team of more than 70 Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists and Allied Health Assistants.  We work within a team of 130 Allied Health staff employed across the hospital. New Graduates are encouraged to apply.

We provide treatment to our inpatient, day patient and Ramsay Health Plus (private practice) clients. We offer a range of individual and group programs with specialties including: orthopaedics, reconditioning, neurological, cardiac, pulmonary, multi-trauma, oncology and pain. There are two onsite purpose-built gym facilities along with a hydrotherapy pool.  We have a private practice, Ramsay Health Plus, across the road from the hospital with opportunity to be involved through rotations.   We have just opened a second private practice around the corner from Warringal Private Hospital.  We also offer the opportunity for acute physiotherapy involvement through our staffing of Mitcham Private Hospital.

As a Physiotherapist within our team you will be responsible for the assessment of patients and the design and supervision of high quality, evidence based patient rehabilitation programs in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. You will motivate and encourage patient’s maximum participation in the programs to assist them to achieve their goals and optimal health outcomes.  Opportunities exist to be involved in departmental, hospital and national level quality activities such as research and quality improvement initiatives. 

The physiotherapy department provides weekly departmental inservices, clinical reasoning sessions, broad ranging practical skill development sessions and professional mentoring/support, ensuring high levels of ongoing professional development. 

About You

To succeed in this role you will bring a strong clinical rehabilitation skillset. You will bring a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service in line with Ramsay's core values. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment. You will also bring;

  • AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist

On offer is a base hourly rate dependent on experience and qualifications.
