About the Role
In this role you will be joining our 1B ward. This role will see you assessing, planning, coordinating and evaluating the care delivery needs of patients requiring oncology, chemotherapy, haematology and palliative care services.
This 28 bed ward specialises in cancer care, both in early diagnosis and end-stage disease. The ward has recently renovated a dedicated lounge area that extends out to a peaceful garden, offering a place of sanctuary for patients and their families. The ward comprises of all private rooms, which includes 2 purpose-designed palliative care rooms.
In this role you will report to the Nurse Unit Manager and work within a caring and supportive team.
To succeed in this role you will bring a strong clinical skillset, gained within a hospital setting as a trained Nurse. You will have recent experience within oncology, haematology or palliative care services, have a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service in line with Ramsay's core values. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
You will also bring;
- Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA
- 2 years minimum experience within an acute care setting is essential.
- Minimum of 12 months experience in Palliative / Oncology / Haematology / Medical Ward
- Recent and up to date experience with Chemotherapy (desirable).
This role requires a caring and compassionate nature that enables you to provide supportive care to patients and their families
On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from; $37.04 - $47.76 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD RN/Midwife gr2-gr8) [FTE $73,193.41 - $94,380.08]
