About the Role

Our Registered Nurses work within a supportive team of professionals, passionate about providing the best quality care for patients. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager - Day Oncology, you will be required to perform chemotherapy administration and be proficient in cannulation and other related treatments. The goal of this role is to provide high quality, multi-disciplinary care to our oncology patients. Our comprehensive diagnosis and treatment services enable us to provide continuous care to our patients throughout their treatment journey and your position will be central to this purpose.

To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset and have a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service in line with Ramsay's core values. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

To be successful in this role, you will have the following selection criteria:


  • Relevant registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Understanding of scope of practice in line with relevant registration
  • Minimum of 2 years’ oncology experience  
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Ability to plan and coordinate patient care
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent understanding of infection control principles
  • Knowledge of legislative requirements in relation to nursing practice


  • Post-graduate qualifications in oncology

Southern Highlands Private Hospital provides 74 acute medical and surgical beds, as well as an extensive range of onsite rehabilitation and palliative care services for the community and beyond to the regional and rural areas. The Hospital has 4 Operating Theatres, a Procedure Room, a Day Surgery Unit, a High Dependency Unit and a Day Oncology Unit. The hospital is located in Bowral, adjacent to the public hospital.
