An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly Financial Systems Developer to join the Financial Systems team at our Corporate Head Office in St Kilda, Melbourne.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Systems Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing high quality software that brings value to Ramsay Health Care (RHC).

Additionally, you will:

  • As directed and prioritised by the Development Manager participate in the design, development, testing, implementation, documentation and on-going maintenance of application software using RHC standard software development technologies and methodologies
  • Actively participate with the rest of the team in the formulation of a backlog with product owners to help ensure the final deliverable is of the highest quality and benefit to the business
  • Work with the DBA on any developments requiring SQL Server access and conform with any relevant database policies
  • Actively monitor and raise appropriately any error logging or alerts to ensure all developed systems are running within agreed SLA’s
  • Ensure all technical documentation remains up to date including supporting documentation for the finance support teams
  • Accept and resolve escalated support requests in agreed timeframes

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have the following

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years working as a developer within a team environment
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Microsoft C# .NET or VB.Net Development
  • Demonstrated experience working with test driven development
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server in particular writing t-sql and working closely with a DBA
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in writing detailed accurate technical documentation
  • Demonstrated high level analytical, design and problem solving skills within a complex environment
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Strong customer service skills and a commitment to excellence
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Exceptional computer skills including the Microsoft Office suite of products

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in computing or Microsoft certifications
  • Previous experience working for a large multi-site organisation
  • Previous experience in the health care environment
  • Previous experience developing for mobile devices
  • Experience SAP, Meditech, UiPath, Outsystems, Visual Studio and other health industry specific applications

This role may be required to participate in an on-call and after-hours roster
