About the Role
We are seeking a TAVI Coordinator to facilitate the well-established structural heart program at Greenslopes Private Hospital. This includes procedures such as TAVI and MitraClip performed according to ACOR standards. You will be joining a team of highly skilled TAVI Practitioners, Surgeons, Perfusionists, Cardiac Anaesthetists, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals.
As the Coordinator you will provide leadership and support to our passionate team of clinicians. This unique and challenging role will see you reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure the department is safe, effective, and follows best practice. The coordinator is responsible for organising and running the Heart Team Multidisciplinary meetings where cases are presented by the TAVI Clinicians to determine suitability for a procedure. The role involves patient assessment, education and ongoing support following the procedures.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset with experience in Cardiac Catheter Laboratory Clinical Nursing/Critical Care Nursing or as a Registered Nurse at a site where TAVI/ MitraClip is performed. Possessing excellent time management and well-developed clinical problem-solving skills will be key to your success in this role.
You will also bring:
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Minimum of two (2) years’ post graduate experience in Cardiac Cath Laboratory/Critical Care Nursing at a site where TAVI is performed is desirable.
- Prior experience in a patient education role is desirable
- Experience in critical care nursing is desirable
- Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patients
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment and autonomously as required
- Advanced communication and customer service skills
Remuneration
Will be based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
