About the Role
The surgical ward provides a space for patients exiting surgery to rest and recover from their procedures. As the Clinical Nurse in Surgical Services, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical nursing care to patients. You will work collaboratively with a team of support clinicians to get the best patient outcome.
This role will involve, but is not limited to:
- Acting as a professional resource and demonstrating broad knowledge in all facets of anaesthetic care to ensure the highest levels of nursing care.
- Supervising and supporting staff within the unit
- Participate in Quality improvement Programs in line with organisational and departmental strategic plans.
- Supervising and implement education program of staff with in the Unit specifically in anaesthetics Training using the Ramsay Institute Resources and ACORN Standards
- Participate in Quality improvement Programs in line with organisational and departmental strategic plans.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset in a hospital setting as a trained Nurse with a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service in line with Ramsay's core values. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience within Surgical nursing will be highly regarded.
The flexibility to work a rotating roster with on call components along with weekend and evening shifts will be key for this role.
You will also bring;
- Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a high-performing team.
- Ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patient
Highly Desirable
- 2 or more years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
Remuneration
On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from; $48.38 - $52.01 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD Clinical Nurse/Midwife Level 2 gr1-gr4) [FTE $95,598.88 - $102,775.32]

St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital is a 178-bed hospital and is revolutionising private health care in the Ipswich and West Moreton region. We’ve been growing and expanding our clinical capabilities, and have recently opened the region’s first private emergency department and a new intensive care unit which supports the Emergency Department. An additional 81 new private patient rooms and new operating theatres and sterilising department have also been added to our hospital. A new Women’s and Children’s unit provides quality local obstetric and Paediatric services, supported by three new labour delivery suites.
