Occupational Therapist – Inpatient Acute
Wollongong Private Hospital, Wollongong

The Opportunity
You will work as part of a diverse Allied Health Team consisting of Physiotherapists, Dieticians, Social Workers, Speech Pathologists and Discharge Planners.
In this role, you will be exposed to a varied clinical caseload utilising your skills in:
- Cognitive assessments
- Neurological assessments
- Falls prevention
- Equipment prescription
- Functional assessments
- Group therapy and
- Pressure area care.
This role is set within the acute hospital environment at Wollongong Private Hospital. The opportunity to work within the rehabilitation setting at Figtree Private Hospital is also available.
About you
Selection Criteria
- Minimum 1-year clinical experience, ideally in the hospital setting
- Current and unconditional AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Proven ability to independently manage a patient caseload
- Demonstrated excellent organisational skills and effective communication skills with a multi-disciplinary team
- Highly developed assessment and intervention skills
- Evidence of ability to identify clinically appropriate interventions and implement evidence-based practice into service development
Remuneration: On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $37.15 - $53.80 + superannuation, based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
