Role overview
As part of the Pastoral Care team, your role involves delivering excellent pastoral care to patients, families and staff aligning with their unique needs and spiritual beliefs.
About You
- Undergraduate degree or above in psychology, counselling, social work or related field
- Satisfactory completion of one or more units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or equivalent
- A minimum of two years experience in spiritual or pastoral care (preferably in a healthcare setting)
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated strength and capacity in using IT
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Demonstrated ability to provide pastoral support to patients from a variety of faith, cultural and social backgrounds
- Flexibility with working hours including the ability and preparedness to undertake evening/weekend shift/on call duties as required.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Willingness to undertake membership with Spiritual Care Australia
- Recent experience in a healthcare facility
