Our Administration Department has two opportunities available for Administration Clerks to join the team at Wollongong Private Hospital!
About the Roles
- 12 month fixed full-time contract: Theatre Bookings Clerk
- Casual Administration Clerk – float
In the theatre bookings position, you will be responsible for the theatre bookings, theatre scheduling and managing vacant theatre lists. You will be responsible for liaising with patients , surgeons consulting suites, pathology providers and all members of the theatre team.
In the casual position you will be required to be an all rounder within the admin team, working on the ground reception, switchboard, day surgery admissions, and fill in for our ward clerks.
The successful candidates will be able to build relationships, engage and ensure open communication, be flexible, able to think on the run and mange numerous tasks at once.
What You’ll Bring
You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and should be comfortable working in a team of doctors, nurses, medical professionals, administrators and non-clinical staff.
You will also bring:
- Intermediate-advanced skills utilising the Microsoft office suite with ability to maintain data entry accuracy
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or similar role essential
- Previous experience in theatre or hospital bookings (highly desirable)
- Experience using Patient Information Systems (highly desirable i.e. Meditech)
- Certificate in Medical Terminology (Desirable)
- Experience in hospital mainframe systems (Desirable)
- A professional phone manner with experience managing incoming and outgoing calls
- Proven ability to work in a customer service focused environment.
Remuneration
On offer is a base hourly rate of $31.36 + superannuation based on experience and qualifications. Exclusive of penalties and allowances.

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
