The Opportunity
Our team of Ward Secretaries serves as the friendly face on hospital wards, acting as the first point of contact for families and visitors. We are dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and are committed to achieving the best outcomes for those we serve.
In this role, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager in our KPU – Mental health unit and be actively involved in providing administration services within the ward, along with understanding and overseeing all daily duty requirements in these service delivery areas.
Your Key Skills and Experience
- Strong keyboard and computer skills using MS Office
- Previous experience understanding mental health out-patients.
- Background in Mental Health Administration
- Ability to prioritise and complete tasks within designated timeframes
- Ability to work effectively unsupervised and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to problem solve effectively
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Willingness to accept and promote Ramsay’s core values
Candidates who meet the following criteria will be highly regarded:
- Prior experience working in a hospital or medical practice setting
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with the meditech system.
Remuneration
A base hourly rate ranging from $27.32 - $32.60 + superannuation, based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD Clerk Grade 1 Yr1 to Grade 3 Yr6)

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
