About the Role:
In the role of Clerical Officer, your primary responsibility will be to deliver a comprehensive and customer-focused service across all Front Office functions, with a particular emphasis on administrative tasks related to Pre-admissions.
Your duties will encompass but are not restricted to:
- Processing all booking requests from VMOs or patients and reviewing theatre lists as needed.
- Thoroughly checking all received paperwork and initiating follow-up actions as necessary, ensuring patients possess the appropriate level of health fund coverage.
- Proactively reaching out to patients to schedule appointments in a timely manner.
- Recording all bookings accurately in the relevant system, such a Meditech.
- Ensuring the successful implementation and consistent adherence to standard policies, processes, and documentation within the Revenue Cycle.

Desirable Qualities:
- Expanded Medical Terminology Knowledge: A deeper understanding is always an advantage.
- Health Insurance Criteria Awareness: Knowledge of various health insurance criteria is a plus.
- Meditech System Familiarity: If you are acquainted with Meditech, that’s a bonus!
Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate of $32.83 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months.
