About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Environmental Services Manager to lead our Environmental Services Department. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring strict hygiene, infection control, and OH&S standards while effectively managing human and financial resources to deliver high-quality outcomes and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee operational management of Environmental Services, including housekeeping, hygiene, linen, and patient transport.
- Maintain hospital cleanliness across all areas, including patient rooms, theatres, and public spaces.
- Manage workforce planning, recruitment, and retention to ensure optimal staffing levels.
- Ensure compliance with infection control procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Lead a team, fostering a positive, collaborative, and forward-thinking culture in line with Ramsay Health Care’s values.
- Monitor and manage linen usage and equipment needs within budget targets.
- Address and manage complaints in a timely and sensitive manner, ensuring compliance with Ramsay’s policies.
- Participate in hospital committees and business development activities, contributing to growth and improvement strategies.
Qualifications/Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in operational management, ideally within a healthcare or hospital environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A tertiary qualification in management, hospitality, or a related field (desirable).
- Experience in environmental or facility services, particularly within a healthcare or large hotel setting.

The successful applicant needs to be flexible with shifts and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
