About The Role
The Front Office Manager manages a team of approximately 8.6FTs, and covers four main hospital functions:
- Reception
- Maternity Pre-Admissions and Booking
- Surgical Pre-Admissions and Booking
- Theatre Booking
The role reports directly to the Director of Finance and Hospital Support Services, and works closely with the Executive and Senior Management team to ensure effective operations of the hospital.
You will work collaboratively with the billing manager / billings team to ensure revenue protection and works with other departments and members of the executive management team to achieve all departmental, Hospital, Ramsay Key Performance Indicators, and strategic objectives.
Your Skills and Experience
- Office management experience with proven ability to manage a team
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Proven ability to manage and work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- Demonstrated commercial acumen
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Programs)
- Qualification in health management or related discipline will be highly regarded
- Knowledge of private health, health fund contracting systems and processes (desired)
- Prior experience with patient administration software desired
Remuneration
Remuneration dependent on experience level and qualifications.

About Our Hospital
Frances Perry House is a leading private maternity and women’s health hospital in Melbourne.
The hospital accommodates 93 beds including surgical and maternity units, Level 4 Special Care Nursery, 6 birthing suites, 4 operating theatres, a day surgery unit and urodynamics procedure room.
Conveniently co-located with Royal Women’s Hospital, we provide our patients with quality private hospital care whilst having access to tertiary level facilities should they be required.
Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases
