The Opportunity

You will be joining us in our newly renovated maternity unit consists of 40 beds and 7 birth suites! This role will see you primarily working in our labour ward assisting expecting mothers. You will be responsible for will assessing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating the care delivery needs of each patient’s individual needs. 

As a Registered Midwife you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering comprehensive, evidence-based midwifery care to our mothers and families, in line with the core values and strategic direction.

Acting in a professional manner at all times when dealing with the health care team, patients, their families and the wider community, you will facilitate and promote patient safety and quality care.

 

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife
  • Recent experience working within antenatal & postnatal outpatient care.
  • Knowledge of current legislation and policies relating to Midwifery practice in the workplace
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Willingness to accept and promote Ramsay’s core values
  • A keen interest in antenatal and postnatal education.
  • Flexibility to work across a seven-day roster is essential for this role.

 

Remuneration

On offer is base hourly salary ranging from $36.65 - $51.47 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (NSW RN/Midwife gr1-gr8) [FTE $72,420.40- $101,704.72]

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
