About the Role

Northern Private Hospital is seeking customer focused Administration Assistants to join our team. 

Medical or Front Office experience is highly regarded, however not essential if you are efficient with a strong willingness to learn. This role is based in the front office along with sessional suites. This is a casual position with the potential to lead into a permanent part time role – working days must be flexible.

Your Skills and Experience

• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated problem solving ability
• Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills
• Proven strong organisational and time management skills
• To be available to work a flexible roster and available at short notice
• Ability to work and cope in stressful situations
• Willingness to learn               

 Desirable Requirements  

• Experience in hospital patient administration systems, or private practice software
• Understanding of Private Health Insurance / patient billing
• Relevant health services experience is recommended

About Our Hospital

Northern Private Hospital is a 70-bed surgical and medical hospital located in New Epping, 22km from Melbourne’s CBD.

Opened in February 2024, Northern Private Hospital facilities include 4 operating theatres, cardiac cathertisation laboratory, day chemotherapy, sleep study unit, on-site pharmacy, pathology and radiology. The Northern Private is also directly linked to Northern Public Hospital.

The hospital’s surgical specialties include cardiac, orthopaedics, general surgery, ENT, urology, gynaecology and plastic surgery. Medical specialty services include IVF and fertility, nephrology, gastroenterology, respiratory and sleep services.

Requirements

• Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
• According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
