The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Diet Aide to join our team to work within our dynamic and supportive Patient Catering Team at Warners Bay Private Hospital. The successful applicant will be responsible for the collection of patient menus using the computer based program ChefMax. The role also includes the identification and communication of special dietary needs to the Dietician and performing nutritional support tasks for patients within the Hospital as required by the Dietician.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Checking computerised ward bed lists
- Preparation and delivery of suitable menus to patients
- Assisting patients with choice
- Printing chef's list
- Be aware of patients with special dietary needs
- Check therapeutic meals stock

Skills and Experience
Essential Criteria
- Certificate qualifications in Dietary Practices, Dietary Aide or equivalent
- Sound knowledge of nutrition
- Good standard of written and verbal communications skills
- Effective organisational skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
- Commitment to high quality patient care and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Sound computer skills in Microsoft products
Desirable Criteria
- 12 months relevant experience in a hospital setting
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
