About the Role

The Maternity Unit at North West Private Hospital is seeking an experienced and patient-focused Clinical Nurse/Midwife to join our high performing and energetic team.

This direct leadership role will see you supporting the Nurse Unit Manager and act as a professional resource, leader, and support person for your fellow team members, and to provide patients with a high standard of dedicated and specialised care.

Maternity Ward

 

Your Skills and Experience

You will be a Registered Nurse with exceptional customer service, confident communication, and strong interpersonal skills. You will also demonstrate:

  • Current dual registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse/Midwife
  • Minimum four years’ experience working across all aspects of maternity care
  • Relevant post graduate qualifications will be highly regarded
  • A passion for mentoring junior team members and positively influencing their performance
  • Clinical leadership experience is desirable but not essential

 

Special Care Nursing

 

Key Skills and Experience

You will be working in a Level 4 SCN, must be proficient at delivering and caring for Neonates on CPAP

  • Relevant Nursing or Midwifery Qualification and APHRA Registration.
  • Minimum 5 years senior Special Care Nursery.
  • Must possess SCN certificate.
  • Post graduate qualification in specialty area desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrated risk management and OH&S.
  • Understanding of scope of practice.
  • Ability to manage designated portfolio and display sound leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge/experience in accreditation processes, clinical indicators and other quality projects.
  • NICU experience desirable.
