About the role
The Bid Writer’s primary objective of this role is to support the Ports, Forestry, Government Services and Energy divisions with their Bid Management and Sales delivery opportunities. Partnering with the different business units, you and the Bid Team will formulate the winning sales strategy for each presented opportunity and draft winning proposals.

What will your role at Qube look like?
Your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Assist with the preparation and submission of high quality tender responses through all stages of the bid process, from EOI to RFT, negotiation and contract award
- Produce professionally written proposal and pitch content that effectively articulates Qube’s value proposition and win themes
- Manage and update the bid collateral library as necessary, which is used as a repository to supplement the development of future bids
- Collaborate with technical teams and technical designers to gain a better understanding of proposed tenders to determine whether to provide a submission to the proposed tender
- Ensure win themes are articulated in such a way as to meet/exceed the client’s requirements
- Interface, liaise and support the Project Team with the bids/proposals
- Development of high quality and detailed responses to any that are deemed to be favourable, managing the relevant teams and stakeholders to ensure that all elements are developed on time and in accordance with our high standards
- Manage the submission process of the response document to the prospective customer
- Seek detailed feedback on the wins and losses of responses to better shape and frame future decisions surrounding bid/no bid and future responses
- Manage the update of key items of marketing collateral which are used in tender submissions, as required.
What can you bring to Qube?
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Have at least three prior years’ experience in a similar role
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Possess a passion for writing and meticulous proof-reading skills
- Be commercially astute to understand common phrases and the negotiation process of tender submissions
- Have the ability to multi-task and be resourceful in solving issues with competing priorities.
