The Academic Programs Office within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS AP) serves the needs of a diverse undergraduate student population within the college. We seek a team member to lead, develop and implement programs designed to enhance student success through mentoring/coaching, engagement, and experiential learning opportunities. The position is a full-time administrative and professional faculty calendar-year position with the expectation that the director will offer engagement program throughout the year and regularly during the academic year. The director will provide leadership to expand college experiential learning opportunities and enhance and expand the college’s student leadership opportunities. The director will have experience with, and enthusiasm for, serving a diverse and growing undergraduate population. The director will develop relationships with students and attend student events as opportunities are available.
MS degree in field related to a major within the college or in higher education or a BS degree and training and work experience at a level equivalent to an advanced degree. Demonstrated experience interfacing with students and solving problems in a student-focused setting with diverse populations; Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; Sensitive to confidential and diversity in the workplace; Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple deadlines while maintaining attention to detail; Proficient with Banner and Navigate to enhance student success. Demonstrated experience mentoring/coaching potential future college students.
Working knowledge of university operating procedures. Experience planning events for a college or university organization.
