Job Description

The Assistant Director of Financial Literacy will be responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing management of a comprehensive student Financial Literacy Program. The Assistant Director is responsible for and manages all aspects of the program from planning, and creating awareness campaigns, to content development/acquisition, and execution. Platforms include online learning, workshops and presentations, and one-on-one education for students covering the entire student life cycle from pre-enrollment to degree completion.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as financial counseling, psychology, or management.
• Ability to demonstrate excellent leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills.
• Knowledge of personal finance topics including budgeting, credit scores, and debt management strategies.
• Knowledge of student loans/debt including debt reduction, elimination, and federal student loan repayment plans.
• Outstanding communication skills, including written, oral, and listening.
• Superior organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and cultivate relationships across campus with a variety of constituents and work effectively with diverse populations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for events/programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Certification in personal finance such as the Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Financial Social Work (FSW), or another related credential.
•Previous work with college students. Knowledge of collegiate financial aid.
•Strategic planning experience.
