Performs daily data entry to maintain accurate inventory ledgers of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) operation. Issues/fulfills requests for materials and supplies from Hospital Stores; receives inventory merchandise; performs stocking and restocking duties. Primary management of laundry program maintenance. Orders materials and supplies; identifies new procurement sources, as needed; reviews inventory for cost saving products and may eliminate items where prudent. Search and secure special-order items as requested by customers.
Data entry experience required. Previous experience and working knowledge of inventory control practices. Previous experience with computer systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, email, and data entry. Ability to conduct business transactions in an efficient and professional manner. Ability to read and follow established policies and procedures. Ability to perform numeric calculations using a handheld calculator. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to lift and carryover short distances items weighing up to 40lbs., walk/stand for prolonged periods of time, safely use standard storeroom materials handling equipment including pallet jacks and hand trucks, drive a standard transmission delivery truck, and occasionally work under adverse weather conditions.
Considerable inventory, inventory software and purchasing experience desired. Knowledge of veterinary medicine related supplies is preferred.
Starting at $35,438.00 Commensurate with experience
The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
