Job Description

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Power Plant Mechanic Supervisor supervises and assists in specialized maintenance duties involving certified welding, high pressure, high temperature steam and water lines. Special emphasis for alignment, millwright, machining, plumbing, tubing, chemical or other special material applications. The position supervises and assists in major maintenance and preventative maintenance on all boilers, turbine generator, pumps, ash removal, pollution control equipment, and all other auxiliary equipment. The working shift will be 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., subject to change during winter months. Overtime may be necessary due to emergencies and breakdowns and subject to 24hour callin as needed.

Required Qualifications

Journeyman level mechanic experience.| ASOPE First Class or higher license or must obtain within 18 months of employment.| Ability to use lathe, milling machine, power tools, torches, welders, and hand tools.| Ability to use micrometer, dial indicator, laser alignment.| Ability to interpret instructions and complete assignments independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous power plant experience.| Previous welding certification.| Previous machine technology certification.| Previous pipe fitting experience.| Previous millwright trade experience.| ASOPE First Class License.| Previous Computer Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) experience.
