The Head Men’s and Women’s Squash Coach is a 12-month position working in the Department of Athletics. This position is responsible for supporting and coordinating all aspects of the Men’s and Women’s Squash teams, providing significant contributions to the development of student athletes through mentorship, guidance, leadership opportunities, community building, and a commitment to social justice. This position is also responsible for the administration of all phases of varsity intercollegiate athletics with guidelines from Bates College, the NCAA, and NESCAC including, compliance, scheduling competitions, travel planning, data management, practice scheduling, and roster management. |
Director of Athletics

The Director of Athletics will serve as the face of the department and is a visible presence on campus who contributes to the overall leadership of the college. In developing close relationships with faculty and staff, the Director will develop programs, policies, and procedures that help student-athletes reach their full potential, both on and off the field.
In partnership with key constituencies across the college, the Director will outline a vision for athletics and fitness for the Bates community and provide both strategic and operational leadership to the entire Athletics enterprise. Successful candidates will have demonstrated an ability to lead a collective effort to develop and execute a strategic vision while building an organization that can meet the many operational demands on the department. The Director will support and assess coaches with their own team and professional development goals and will serve as an advocate for the needs of both coaches and student-athletes. |
Carpenter

Third Cook (FT, FY)

Staff holding a cook position primarily work in student dining providing approximately 5000 meals per day to the students, faculty, staff and guests of the college who dine in Commons. They are also called upon to prepare items for catered events as needed.
As such, this position calls for someone who is able to safely, efficiently and consistently produce and present food in a high volume setting. A focus on providing outstanding customer service and exemplary organizational and time management skills are a must.
This position may be considered “Essential Personnel” in the event that:

The Custodian position at Bates College is responsible for the general appearance and cleanliness of assigned areas and building, including housekeeping services for student residences. This position includes both routine work such as waste removal, such as dusting, mopping, and vacuuming floor surfaces, cleaning restrooms, restocking consumables and non- routine work such as window and wall washing, snow shoveling and sanding of walks, steps and porches. |

The Commons Associate-Service primarily serves as front line support for the Bates dining program which serves approximately 5000 meals per day to the students, faculty, staff and guests of the college.
This position is responsible for following food safety and sanitation procedures and demonstrating positive relationships with individuals and groups with varying backgrounds, perspectives, education and skills.
