The Assistant Registrar oversees elements related to student records and degree progress, including transfer credit evaluation and posting; electronic forms maintenance; updates to student records; and graduation processing. They work closely with colleagues in the Registrar's Office and from other units to maintain student data quality and associated systems, leveraging new and existing resources to increase efficiency and enhance the student, faculty, and staff experience. The Commons Associate - Sanitation position provides front line dish room and janitorial support for the Bates dining program which serves approximately 5,000 meals per day to the students, faculty, staff, and guests of the college. This position is responsible for following food safety and sanitation procedures as well as demonstrating positive relationships with individuals and groups with varying backgrounds, perspectives, education and skills.

This position supports the operational aspects of Student Accounting, including fee assessment, third-party billing, application of payments, and refund processing. In addition, this position will be responsible for executing and overseeing certain aspects of the Bates Student Health Insurance Program including monitoring health insurance enrollment and waivers, performing outreach to parents and students during the summer, resolving billing/enrollment disputes, and participating in the overall management of the program. This position is the functional backup to the Assistant Director of Student Accounting, and provides customer service to students and parents as a backup to the SFS customer support team.
