Job Summary:
This position provides leadership and oversight for Tarrant County College’s (TCC) Organizational Excellence and Development (OED) operations. This role leads the design, implementation, and administration of collegewide organizational development initiatives, including employee and faculty training, development, and academic technology. The incumbent will partner with college leadership to align programming with strategic priorities and direct the OED team in delivering initiatives that support diverse employee groups.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Performance Requirements* ⦁ Leads the design, development, and implementation of training and organizational development initiatives informed by needs assessments and data analysis ⦁ Provides leadership and direction to OED staff in developing professional learning programs aligned with the College’s strategic plan ⦁ Collaborates on accreditation, program review, and change management efforts; evaluates the effectiveness of training initiatives and ensures alignment with faculty performance processes ⦁ Aligns OED programs and services with institutional priorities, emphasizing impact assessment and capacity building through professional development ⦁ Ensures faculty development opportunities align with the Faculty Framework for Student Success and support expectations for teaching excellence and evaluation ⦁ Partners with leadership to stay informed on instructional improvements and student success initiatives, ensuring alignment of professional learning with strategic goals ⦁ Works with academic and administrative leaders to support the development and implementation of course, program, and learning outcomes assessments ⦁ Ensures compliance with required training related to Federal and State laws and regulations
General Supervision and Management ⦁ Provides leadership and oversight for OED staff, including personnel management, performance evaluation, and professional development ⦁ Supervises and directs staff with expertise in instruction and course design to deliver programming aligned with the College’s strategic priorities ⦁ Manages the OED budget, ensuring effective allocation and stewardship of resources
Service Excellence ⦁ Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements ⦁ Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite ⦁ Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC) ⦁ Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision Works under the general supervision of the assigned department leader

Required Minimum Qualifications:
⦁ Master’s degree ⦁ Six (6) years’ working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements ⦁ Five (5) years' working experience supervising (e.g., managing, evaluating the performance of others)

Preferred Qualifications:
⦁ At least one (1) year’s working experience as a leader in faculty development ⦁ At least one (1) year’s working experience managing departmental budgets

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
⦁ Knowledge of facilitation methods and instructional techniques that support effective professional learning and organizational development initiatives ⦁ Knowledge of leadership, communication, and reflective practice principles, with the ability apply and convey these concepts in a professional learning environment ⦁ Knowledge of pedagogy, integrative learning, and active learning strategies to support instructional excellence and student success ⦁ Skilled in delivering high-quality customer service and building effective interpersonal relationships, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills ⦁ Skilled in utilizing educational technologies and enterprise systems, including learning management systems (LMS), active learning platforms, and standard office software applications ⦁ Skilled in leveraging emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), to support organizational development, learning initiatives, and continuous improvement ⦁ Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organization ⦁ Ability to analyze data and develop informed recommendations based on policy, procedures, and regulatory requirements, with strong attention to detail and organization ⦁ Ability to delegate work appropriately to meet College and campus deliverables
