Job Summary:
This role is responsible for providing managerial level work, overseeing daily operations of their department, program, or major process focused on academic affairs' work-based learning efforts, potentially including some non-credit instructional responsibilities. This position is also responsible for assisting in determining the direction of the department or program, monitoring program budgets, and leading institutional and community outreach.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Performance Requirements* ⦁ Performs complex administrative and technical functions for the colleges work-based learning efforts ⦁ Oversees daily operations, working efficiently and effectively with students, faculty, and employers ⦁ Makes technical decisions by applying policies, regulations, and protocol ⦁ Manages community outreach and knowledge of associated organizations as a resource ⦁ Develops and facilitates training to educate businesses, faculty, and students in work-based learning benefits and best practices ⦁ Tracks students (application, placement, success, failures, coaching, skills, etc.) to meet program criteria and provides other data related to the work-based learning program ⦁ Facilitates marketing of work-based learning opportunities through advertising, presentations, and event collaborations, such as experiential learning fairs, educational events ⦁ Monitors and updates content on the website to maintain accuracy ⦁ Evaluates work-based learning programs, creates reports, and completes forms needed for work-based learning for students, businesses, and faculty; collaborates to make improvements as needed ⦁ Leads work based learning processes and procedure improvements by partnering with faculty, deans, and other colleagues
Service Excellence ⦁ Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements ⦁ Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite ⦁ Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC) ⦁ Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision ⦁ Works under the general supervision of the Director of Academic Affairs

Preferred Qualifications:
⦁ At least one (1) year's working experience in a college or university setting related to the Essential Performance Requirements ⦁ At least one (1) year's working experience managing internships and apprenticeships ⦁ At least one (1) year’s working experience administering grant-funded work-force programs such as Perkins, apprenticeship grants, Title III, or other externally funded workforce or career-connected learning program

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
⦁ Knowledge of student learning outcomes (such as marketable skills achieved), and how to document ⦁ Knowledge of best practices and guidelines for work-based learning program to meet standards ⦁ Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships ⦁ Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment ⦁ Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume ⦁ Ability to use computer applications and enterprise systems, including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
