Job Summary:
This role is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for the College’s enterprise application environment, ensuring technology solutions effectively support academic, administrative, and student success objectives. As a member of the Information Technology (IT) division’s senior leadership team, the position contributes to strategic technology planning, governance, and operational excellence while advancing initiatives that improve institutional effectiveness and service delivery.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Performance Requirements* ⦁ Assists leadership in the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of college Information Technology resources and functions ⦁ Develops and executes the institutional strategy for enterprise applications ⦁ Serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership regarding enterprise technology opportunities and risks; collaborates with stakeholders across the institution to align technology investments with institutional priorities ⦁ Supervises the full lifecycle of enterprise applications, including selection, implementation, maintenance, upgrades, and retirement ⦁ Leads strategic and operational planning, aligning IT priorities and actions in support of college-wide goals ⦁ Oversees and provides guidance on numerous IT cross-departmental initiatives to ensure collaboration, financial planning, and project delivery ⦁ Supports the evaluation, implementation, and ongoing assessment of technology strategies, initiatives, and industry best practices ⦁ Consults with external technology experts to identify emerging IT trends and opportunities ⦁ Assists in the formulation, recommendation, and enforcement of policies relevant to technology at the college ⦁ Ensures resources are justified and best aligned with services that advance the college’s goals
General Supervision and Management ⦁ Provides leadership and oversight for departmental activities, including workforce planning, performance management, process improvement, budgeting, and resource allocation. ⦁ Focuses on achieving departmental and organizational objectives through effective management of people, programs, and operations. ⦁ Leads through supervisors and professional staff by establishing priorities, supporting accountability, and developing team performance.
Service Excellence ⦁ Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements ⦁ Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite ⦁ Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC) ⦁ Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision Works under the supervision of the assigned department leader

Required Minimum Qualifications:
⦁ Bachelor’s degree ⦁ Eight (8) years’ working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements ⦁ Five (5) years of experience supervising direct reports, including assigning work, managing performance, coaching employees, and supporting employee development

Preferred Qualifications:
⦁ Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or closely related discipline ⦁ At least one (1) year’s professional working experience within a large institution setting ⦁ At least one (1) year’s professional working experience with Ellucian ERP products (i.e., Colleague, Banner) ⦁ At least one (1) year’s professional working experience in a higher education environment

⦁ Knowledge of principles and practices of project planning, development, and evaluation ⦁ Skilled in delivering high-quality customer service and building effective interpersonal relationships, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills ⦁ Skilled in using computer applications and enterprise systems, including the Microsoft Office suite and the Microsoft 365 platform ⦁ Skilled in cultivating productive relationships with internal teams, external partners, and organizational leadership, leveraging influence and negotiation to achieve aligned expectations, commitments, and understanding of expected risks ⦁ Ability to understand existing systems, emerging technologies, and best practices in applying procedures, tools, and methods ⦁ Ability to apply principles and practices to strategically align tasks and people with college goals and objectives ⦁ Ability to apply the principles and practices of ITIL v3-v4 standards to ensure best practices for IT Service Management ⦁ Ability to plan, manage, and prioritize concurrent tasks, assignments, projects, and deadlines seamlessly while ensuring accurate and timely completion and exhibiting strong attention to detail and organization ⦁ Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in collaborative environments, engaging with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders ⦁ Ability to maintain a high level of diplomacy and tact, ensuring confidentiality and discretion with sensitive and confidential information

Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
