Compensation Details: Starting Pay - $70,400; Commensurate with education and experience
Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with one scheduled 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. evening shift per week. Occasional evening and weekend hours are required during peak times.
Remote Eligible: This position is not eligible for remote work

Job Summary:
This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing student life programs, events, and services that support academic, social, and leadership development.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Performance Requirements ⦁ Manages the daily functions of the campus student activities office and student life programs ⦁ Determines appropriate campus facilities for programs ⦁ Oversees and evaluates student activity events and regularly confers with management regarding student activity matters ⦁ Manages program budgets and requisitions all payments related to student activities ⦁ Coordinates the activities of student organizations that promote student leadership, participation in college decision-making, and the enrichment of student life ⦁ Recruits, selects, and onboards new staff
General Supervision and Management ⦁ Oversees daily work activities, provides training and guidance, monitors performance, and ensures work is completed accurately and efficiently ⦁ Performs advanced or more complex functional work alongside staff while supporting departmental operations and service delivery ⦁ Provides direct day-to-day leadership and guidance to staff to support effective task completion and employee development
Service Excellence ⦁ Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements ⦁ Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite ⦁ Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC) ⦁ Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision Works under the supervision of the assigned department leadership

Required Minimum Qualifications:
⦁ Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years’ working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements, or any equivalent combination of education and work-related experience ⦁ One (1) year’s working experience supervising (e.g., leading people, processes, programs, or projects that included planning, execution, and monitoring of outcomes)

Preferred Qualifications:
⦁ Master’s degree ⦁ At least one (1) year’s working experience working in a college or university setting related to the Essential Performance Requirements ⦁ At least one (1) year’s working experience in evaluation and assessment of student learning outcomes

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
⦁ Skilled in delivering high-quality customer service and building effective interpersonal relationships, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills ⦁ Skilled in using computer applications and enterprise systems, including the Microsoft Office suite and the Microsoft 365 platform ⦁ Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in collaborative environments, engaging with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders ⦁ Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
