Job Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Director, Foundation Operations is responsible for managing core operational functions that support the Foundation’s strategic goals. This role ensures effective coordination of fundraising, scholarship agreements, and stakeholder engagement. The Director plays a key role in advancing the Foundation’s mission through thoughtful planning and operational oversight.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Performance Requirements*
⦁ Oversees daily operations of the Foundation office, including scholarships, records management, communication, donor stewardship, and fundraising
⦁ Assists the Chief Development Officer with project and event planning, design, development, and implementation
⦁ Supports the Chief Development Officer with Board of Director business, including preparation of meeting materials and agenda items
⦁ Contributes to the development and execution of fundraising initiatives, including annual giving campaigns and strategic planning
⦁ Communicates project milestones, challenges, and recommended solutions to the Chief Development Officer in a timely manner
⦁ Maintains accurate and organized records related to donor activity, scholarships, and board documentation
⦁ Coordinates internal and external communications to ensure consistent messaging and stakeholder engagement

General Supervision and Management
⦁ Provides leadership for all assigned employees

Service Excellence
⦁ Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
⦁ Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
⦁ Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
⦁ Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College

Supervision
⦁ Works under the general supervision of the Chief Development Officer of the Tarrant County College Foundation

Required Minimum Qualifications:

⦁ Bachelor's degree and seven (7) years of work-related experience relevant to the Essential Performance Requirements; or any equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
⦁ Three (3) years of experience supervising direct reports, including assigning work, managing performance, coaching employees, and supporting employee development

Preferred Qualifications:

⦁ Master’s degree
⦁ At least three (3) years’ working experience leading strategic planning and implementation
⦁ At least three (3) years’ working experience leading the development of fundraising and engagement initiatives
⦁ At least three (3) years’ working experience in a community college environment related to the Essential Performance Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

⦁ Knowledge of Foundation activities, including fundraising, stewardship, board relations, scholarship awarding, and communication
⦁ Skilled in oral and written communication, with the ability to present creative content
⦁ Skilled in customer service and interpersonal interactions
⦁ Skilled in using applications and enterprise systems, including Raiser’s Edge, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
⦁ Able to work effectively and collaboratively with district personnel, community partners, and Foundation team members
⦁ Able to think critically to solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment with varied and unpredictable demands
⦁ Able to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, and practice
⦁ Able to delegate work appropriately to staff to meet Foundation and College deliverables
