Job Summary:
This role is responsible for providing daily support for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of endpoint devices across Tarrant County College (TCC). This role is also responsible for resolving user issues, fulfilling service requests, performing hands on repairs, and supporting routine endpoint management tasks following established procedures, escalating complex issues when needed.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Performance Requirements* ⦁ Assists in the setup, configuration, and deployment of endpoint devices (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android) ⦁ Supports mobile device management (MDM) tools such as Jamf, Microsoft Intune, Knox, ManageXR ⦁ Learns and applies basic scripting for automation, such as PowerShell or Bash ⦁ Performs basic troubleshooting of hardware and software issues ⦁ Assists with software installations, updates, and patching ⦁ Maintains accurate inventory and documentation of endpoint assets ⦁ Follows established security best practices in endpoint configuration and management ⦁ Travels to campus sites as needed to support endpoint operations ⦁ Stays current with emerging technologies, standards, and best practices
Service Excellence ⦁ Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements ⦁ Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite ⦁ Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC) ⦁ Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision ⦁ Works under the general supervision of the assigned department leader

Required Minimum Qualifications:
⦁ Associate’s degree or 60 college credit hours and three (3) years’ working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements; or any equivalent combination of education and work-related experience

Preferred Qualifications:
⦁ At least one (1) year’s working experience using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python ⦁ At least one (1) year’s working experience performing the essential performance requirements in a higher education or large-scale IT environment ⦁ Current industry certification such as, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified - Modern Desktop ⦁ Administrator Associate, Jamf Certified – Tech (Jamf 200 or 240), or Jamf Certified – Admin (Jamf 300 or 370)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
⦁ Knowledge of endpoint security tools such as Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) or Managed Detection and Response (MDR) ⦁ Knowledge of Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android operating systems ⦁ Skilled using endpoint management platforms and tools ⦁ Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication with technical and non-technical customers ⦁ Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot endpoint hardware/software issues ⦁ Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment ⦁ Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly while exhibiting strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation

Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representatives of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
